This exhibition is hosted by S.U.C.C.E.S.S. and will present the photographic works of acclaimed photographer Mr. Walter Poon on UNESCO’s world heritage.
Established in 1973 and incorporated in 1974, thier mandate is to promote the well being of all Canadians and immigrants. They encourage their participation in the community through delivering services in five major areas: social services, employment services, business and economic development services, training and education services, and health services (under the auspices of S.U.C.C.E.S.S. Multi-Level Care Society incorporated in 1995).

2008 Lunar New Year Celebration in Richmond
According to the Chinese Lunar calendar, the Lunar New Year is a 15-day celebration starting from the first day of the first lunar month. For 2008, this signifies the Year of the Mouse and so the festival will fall on February 7th. The Lunar New Year is an important festival for the Chinese, and people return home on the eve of the Lunar New Year to attend large family gatherings.
The Richmond Chinese Community Society (RCCS) is honoured to share this annual event with the whole community starting on Sunday, February 10, 2008 at Richmond Centre Mall, and also on Sunday, February 17, 2008 at Lansdowne Centre Mall.
In the spirit of the Lunar New Year, which brings about family reunions and charitable love, this year’s celebration will include a variety of multicultural performances ranging from the Lion Dance, Chinese Opera, Hip Hop Dance, Folk Dance, Kung Fu, Taekwondo, along with booths for Chinese Brush Paintings and Crafts Exhibitions. We will also invite other community organizations to host exhibition booths.
The performances will start at 12:30pm to 6:00pm.

The red, gold and blue stamps, created by Toronto-based artist Harvey Chan, feature two stylized rats based on the Chinese folk tale The Mouse Bride.

The Yuan Jyi Dance Group has 120 members, and they meet six days a week in the Lansdowne Centre food fair atrium before the mall opens for a 90-minute practice session.
