The Food Garden at Lansdowne Centre 2022 - Lansdowne Centre
WE ARE CLOSED

The Food Garden at Lansdowne Centre is back!

Last year we grew more than 1000 lbs of fresh produce that was donated to local charities helping food insecure families in Richmond.
Those veggies were turned into hundreds of freshly prepared meals EACH WEEK, totalling thousands of delicious, nutrient-rich dishes to help those most in need, so – we’re doing it all over again!

Planters in our south-east parking lot (near T&T Supermarket) and near the Skytrain station to the south-west of the mall, will grow things like lettuce, carrots, beans, herbs, radishes and much more, as well as pollinator plants to help our bees and butterflies.
All the veggies will again be donated to local charities, so please DON’T pick the produce!
We want YOU to visit The Food Garden at Lansdowne Centre – and if you do, there might be a special prize hiding in the garden! Find our carrot signs and take a photo of the QR code. Show the result to Customer Service, and you’ll be given a FREE Lansdowne Centre reusable shopping bag!*
*One bag per customer for the duration of the giveaway. Bags must be collected on the day of scanning the QR code.
The Food Garden at Lansdowne Centre is happening until Fall, and we’re celebrating with some fun events!

Join Us for Veggie Days!

Join us in Centre Court on May 15th, June 5th and July 10th, where we’ll be hosting days of family fun from 12pm to 4pm each day.
Our Veggie Days celebrate the fresh produce being created in The Food Garden at Lansdowne Centre, and we’ll be giving away an adorable veggie stuffy each month – come back every month for your chance to win!
There will be other great prizes on offer from our Lansdowne Centre tenants, and we’ll be joined by Global Art Canada who will be hosting an arts and crafts booth, plus we’ll have a balloon artist on hand who will be making and giving out veggie-themed balloons!

Free Drop-In Gardening Workshops

Throughout the spring, summer and early fall, we’ll be hosting weekly FREE gardening workshops for all ages, in our south-east parking lot (near T&T).
Bring along your community group, summer campers, or just come along yourself to learn more each week.
