Mark your calendars for the second round of our Veggie Day!
Join us on July 15th from 12:00 pm to 4:00 pm at the Centre Court for a day packed with excitement and creativity. Get ready for arts and crafts, valuable gardening tips, delightful workshops, and even an observation hive of bees!
Expand your knowledge and find solutions to all your gardening queries with the help of our resident gardener.
Don’t forget to participate in our exclusive candle-making workshop where you can create layered “soil” designs using coloured wax. Choose between a carrot or broccoli to craft your very own “Veggie in a Bottle” candle with @little.candle.matters. Additionally, we have the Beeswax Cover Workshop available. Both workshops require a $10 donation, which will be contributed to support the Richmond Food Bank.

We need Volunteers!
Do you want to be part of our team? We are looking for volunteers to help us during our Veggie Day on July 15 from 11 a.m. – 5 p.m. (6 hours).
What you’ll help with:
- We will need help to set up and tear down the event
- You will be greeting shoppers, introducing them to the Veggie Days event, and encouraging them to participate in the activities
- You will be helping our instructors at the workshop / Art & Craft station
- You will help and ensure shoppers have followed us on our social media channels before participating in the Spin the Wheel activity
- Help us to encourage shoppers to take photos and share them on social media
- You will be helping us direct traffic and crowd manage
What you get as a thank you from us:
- Free snacks and drink
- Signed confirmation of volunteer hours upon request. Please note this is not a reference letter, it’s just a note confirming your participation
- Signed supervisor’s evaluation of student form (for High School students) upon request (min. 12 hours)
