urban gardening

Springtime is planting season and this year we have reimagined gardening with our urban community garden wall inside the centre and workshops to teach the community ways to grow their own vegetable and flower gardens at home.

Our outdoor garden will keep growing in our southeast parking lot but our weekly workshops will be now at the Centre Court.

Both, the indoor and the outdoor produce will be donated to Richmond Food Bank and Urban Bounty to help support families experiencing food insecurity and provide fresh meals to local elementary schools.

Free workshops every thursday @ Centre court

Join us every Thursday day in our Centre Court from 3:30 PM to 4:30 PM starting May 2 until June 20.

We understand that not everyone has a backyard or a big garden, and with more people living in condos, this year we want to offer a different type of gardening experience. Victory Garden aims to educate you on urban gardening through different workshops that will provide you with the tips you need to grow your own indoor garden.

No registration is required. Come and learn how to transform your home into a green oasis with a positive attitude.

giving back to the community

The Lansdowne Community Garden is returning for the fourth year and will donate produce to the Richmond Food Bank Society and Urban Bounty. This will help support families experiencing food insecurity and provide fresh meals to local elementary schools.

The Community Garden will have its usual outdoor garden in the southeast parking lot (by T&T), as well as a vertical garden in the Centre court. As in previous years, the produce from both gardens will be donated to Urban Bounty to help families in the community who struggle with food insecurity.

Last year, the garden has donated more than 2,000 lbs of food. This year, we hope to donate even more!
